Becoming a competitive student at TDC means you are wanting and willing to take your dancing to the next level. With this comes greater expectations and commitment. You must have a strong work ethic, great attendance and a positive attitude. Competitive dance is a challenge beyond the scope of a weekly class. By committing to the team, you are ready to gain constructive criticism from both instructors and judges. You are committing to practice time off the floor, coming to class prepared mentally and physically, being a positive role model and leader through the studio. You are wanting to push yourself to the next level. You are expected to be self-reliant. Retaining choreography and details to choreography will be expected on a daily basis. Athleticism, musicality, flexibility, strength, mental focus- all things you will work on and off the dance floor.

Auditions are open to all dancers age 4.5-18 years. Dancers do not need to be a current student at TDC. Auditions will take place on a yearly basis. Behavior, work ethic, technique from the previous seasons will all be put into consideration during the selection process. Dancers of all ages must be a leader in their classes with no behavior issues, to be consider for the Competitive Company. The cost of auditions is $10.
